Day One

Sunday – Dead Sea
Camel Ride
We will go back in time 3,800 years and leave our four wheeled vehicle for one of the four legged variety. Our camels will transport us back to the tent of the Patriarchs – Avraham and Sara. The experience is almost as amazing as the view of the desert of Judea and mountains of Moab that we will take in from atop our camels.
Nachal Arugot National Park
One of the amazing wonders of Israel is that in the lowest place on Earth by the Dead Sea, there is a full blown oasis full of cold fresh waters flowing through the valleys and mountains, and waterfalls! This is the region in which David hid from King Saul, and it’s easy to imagine this this is the very place where he composed the words in Barchi Nafshi הַֽמְשַׁלֵּ֣חַ מַ֭עְיָנִים בַּנְּחָלִ֑ים בֵּ֥ין הָ֝רִ֗ים יְהַלֵּכֽוּן “He sends sprigs into the valleys, they flow between the mountains.” Besides the history, this water hike is one of the most beautiful nature hikes Israel has to offer.
Dead Sea Kayak
Kayaking on the Dead Sea is an experience like no other. The absolute silence and surrounded by shimmering salt formations that look like diamonds, giant salt cubes, and low salinity pools. You’ll even discover salt stalactites and freshwater sinkholes to dip in along the way. This hidden beauty is only accessible by kayak or boat, making it even more special. Come at sunrise or sunset for an even more magical experience. This is something you have to see to believe!
