Nachal Prat Hike

In the heart of the Judean wilderness, lies Nachal Prat, a valley steeped in history and legend. It’s the backyard of Jeremiah the Prophet, and where Elijah and King David sought refuge. The valley, fed by year round freshwater springs, stretches from the Samarian and Judean mountains down to Jericho, serving as the biblical border between the tribes of Benjamin and Jjudah.
Our 5 km hike will take us through this breathtaking oasis, rich with both history and vibrant wildlife. Along the way, we’ll cool off in icy freshwater pools—perfect for escaping the desert heat. Be sure to bring hiking sandals or shoes that can get wet, and plenty of drinking water for this unforgettable adventure!

Mitzpe Yericho
Meaning literally, “a viewpoint to Jericho” Mitzpe yericho is a small west bank settlement sitting on a cliff. It is perched more than a thousand feet above one of the oldest cities in the world and the entrance to the Land of Israel from the East. Over 500 families live in this small desert town, but thousands come here to see its amazing views and abandoned Israeli Army bunker.
