ZAKA Visitors Center – A Story of Heroism and Brotherhood

Zaka stands for זיהוי קרבנות אסון (Disaster Victim Identification), however after October 7th ZAKA now has come to mean זה קירוב אחים—”This is Bringing Our Brothers Closer.” ZAKA volunteers risked their lives under fire, entering danger zones to rescue, recover, and honor the fallen. Their bravery has been recognized alongside Israel’s soldiers, standing shoulder to shoulder in acts of unparalleled heroism. At the center, you’ll hear firsthand accounts, see interactive exhibits, and gain a deep appreciation for these selfless volunteers who embody the spirit of unity and sacrifice.

Shura Army Base Visit

At the Shura Army Base, the Rabbinic Unit carries out a sacred mission, ensuring Israel’s fallen heroes are honored with the utmost dignity on their final journey. Through meticulous care and heartfelt devotion, they transform moments of profound sorrow into ceremonies of reverence and sanctity, creating what they describe as a “gate to heaven.” Alongside their essential work, the base also houses the IDF’s largest collection of Torah scrolls, a quiet testament to the enduring strength of faith amidst duty. This visit offers a deeply moving glimpse into the unsung heroes who uphold the spirit of the nation during its most difficult hours.

Hostage Square

Visit Hostage Square in Jerusalem, a place where Am Yisrael gathers to show love, unity, and heartfelt support for the families of those kidnapped. Standing together in prayer and solidarity, we express our unwavering belief in Hashem’s mercy and the strength of our people. May it be that, be’ezrat Hashem, the hostages will have returned safely by the time you visit. Until then, Hostage Square remains a powerful reminder of our collective emunah, resilience, and commitment to every member of our nation.

Tel Hashomer Hospital Visit

A visit to the wounded soldiers at Tel HaShomer Hospital is a meaningful way to show our love and gratitude to those who have sacrificed for Am Yisrael. By bringing gifts, gift cards, and words of encouragement, we uplift their spirits and remind them that they are not alone in their journey of healing. This simple act of kindness is a powerful expression of our deep appreciation and a reminder of the unity and warmth that bind us as one people. Together, we can bring light, strength, and support to our courageous soldiers.
